The Last Stop – LoungeLevel 2 |
Mesmerising ambience, flavoursome food and rhythmic music awaits you at The Last Stop Lounge
Now that Mangaloreans are willing to take a break from conventional restaurants and explore quirky, new age eateries, The Last Stop Lounge emerges as the ideal tavern for an “out of this world” experience. Uniquely built around a garage theme, the attention to detailing about decor deserves an accolade like none other. From tool-shaped cutlery, a vintage bike elegantly perched just after the main entrance or the confrontational slogans dotting the walls, they’ve got it down pat. Why they even have bi-cycle pedals as foot rests below the table! Talk about innovation!
Food spans to a variety of continental, Indian and Chinese and The Last Stop Lounge scores high in the continental cuisine.
For starters, the Charmoula chicken skewers served with a sublime honey mustard mayonnaise is a crowd-pleasing dish. As, is the Corn crab Tikki, if you prefer something sweetish.
Furthermore, vegetarians can breathe a contented sigh. Here’s a place that serves some exceptional vegetarian cuisine like Dahi ke sholey, Paneer hilltop, stuffed mushrooms and paneer chilli with well-balanced dimensions of flavour.
With every plate executed in perfect technical detail (like the fries, for example, come in a tiny snack trolley, and the potato wedges served in a little red scooter), The Last Stop Lounge never ceases to amaze in their exemplary service.
Ostensibly, they believe that a good laugh gives your appetite a boost, which is why their bar menu is brimming with witty one-liners to crack you up, while simultaneously prepping you to savour from their extensive spread. The novice drinker can indulge from a range of alcoholic beverages including cocktails, and mocktails(if you intend to stay sober). The Cosmopolitan is worth luxuriating in, and they do serve some decent Sangria.
For the mains, tuck into some ravishing chicken scallopini comprising juicy chicken served with portions of steamed rice and veggies. Pasta is a delight, and the Mac and cheese, with heaps of sauces and cheese, are a cut above. Bear in mind, that you may not eat for a couple of hours after devouring this. If not days. Nevertheless, you can dig into some Chimi Churri Rubbed Basa, which is a tasty, value-for-money dish.
Subsequently, groove to techno and hip-hop music every Saturday by their in-house DJ, while Ladies night on Tuesdays ensures free shooters for women, so ring to book a table in advance. With a mammoth screen projector, sports enthusiasts are sure to have an eccentric game-night, making it one of the city’s foremost hotspots.
Altogether, a hip crowd, delightful bar bites and scintillating music, consider your weekends sorted at The Last Stop Lounge.
