Bond over freshly brewed beer, hearty conversations and excellent cuisine at Spindrift brewpub

Just when the Mangalorean pub scene was getting dreary, we discovered Spindrift brewpub: the city’s first, and possibly, only microbrewery, where you can de-stress after a tiring day’s work or simply head to for an enjoyable weekend.

Cosily tucked in the corner of the 5th floor in Bharath Mall; it has recently been a crowd-puller; because it is indubitably the best watering hole we’ve had in recent times.

We headed there for a friends’ reunion, and we couldn’t have asked for a better hang-out.

The soft-cushiony comfort, easy-going atmosphere and rollicking music coupled with Bob Marley littered themes, makes for a tranquillizing time; lifting your spirits in more ways than one.
Having a range of craft beers like Lager, Ale, Wheat and Stout, as well as an exquisite selection of cocktails and other drinks, Spindrift also boasts of sumptuous food.

Among the starters what stood out were the chicken wings, and if you like yours hot, then the Firecracker chicken wings are your best bet. We also gorged on the Moroccan lamb cigars that had flavorful mutton mince infused with Moroccan flavours. On the Chef’s recommendation, we tried the Spindrift Dynamite Prawns which is an in-house special that brought a twist and made the dish a lot more appetising. Another entree dish that made it to the hit list is the Big Mamma’s Chicken bake served with garlic bread.

Special mention to their unique fusion food–Ghee roast nachos that are just world-class.
However, the show stopper on our table was the Jalapeno-Mango Chicken rice that we relished, with the chicken being succulent, sweet and spicy.

To conclude our meal, we had an elaborate dessert menu to pick from, and we ultimately decided to settle with their mango pannacotta that was smooth, creamy and melt-in-the-mouth delicious. Each bite of this dreamy Italian dessert was enticing, and we are coming back for more!

With an in-house DJ, occasional live performances, barbeques and brunches, the entertainment quotient is always on an all time high.

Weekends just got a great new definition with Spindrift brewpub, and we are ecstatic.
