Savour a range of snacks and desserts at Cafe D14
On a quest for a perfect cup o’ joe? Well, look no further than Cafe D14, a stellar light-and-bright relaxed spot for Kasargodians frequenting the Moviemax complex. Cafe d14 is for all sorts: teenagers, families with young children, residents relaxing with the newspapers. Many come just for takeaways, while there are those who linger with a laptop. Food is a strong point. The baked goods are lovely, mainly the cakes as well as burgers, pizza and ice-creams.
The banana muffins served here are just delightful – baked in a muffin case to golden brown perfection. The fried chicken was proper comfort food, the kind of dish that makes you feel looked after. As for the doughnuts – a crispy, fluffy sponge, with impossible creaminess, was exquisite. The black forest sizzler brownie was moist and oh-so-dark – divine.
What’s more- the highlight of Cafe D14 is the live cake counter, the first and possibly the only one in Kasargod so far. Watching the feather-light spongy cakes getting creamed and decorated in front of your eyes is a sight to behold and sets your hunger pangs on full swing. Making your celebrations even more special are the customised cakes available at Cafe D14.
Also, they have an incredible range of stone ice-creams that seem to be getting increasingly popular in recent times with flavours that will please old and young folk alike, particularly those that kids will enjoy like the Nuts Overloaded.
If you feel like a coffee won’t cut it, then head straight for their irresistible mocktails. The staff are genial and well-informed too, making your experience pleasant and enjoyable.
All in all, Cafe D14 offers a variation that’s worth seeking out with prices that won’t burn a hole in your pocket. I believe these are enough reasons for you to head there with your crew and savour their sumptuous delicacies.
