Finding a restaurant in the heart of the city that serves scrumptious food and isn’t too crowded is nothing short of a miracle! Which is why,  we were pleasantly surprised to find ourselves in such a situation. This quaint little restaurant Cafe at the far end of New Balmatta Road, Avery junction is serene and beautiful in its decor.The simple wooden interiors surrounded by greenery makes you feel like you’ve just set foot in a snug chalet in the midst of backwoods.
Having a widespread menu, the dishes are delectable, to say the least.
The bruschetta platter topped with mushrooms, olives, tomatoes, and cheese makes for an incredibly refreshing antipasto. Another starter that we couldn’t get enough of, was the prawns satay, dipped in tangy sauce. They also serve delicious masala cheese fries.
Their main course ranges from a variety of pastas, pizzas, burgers, sandwiches to biryanis and pulaos. Lasagna is every pasta lover’s go-to dish and this one is definitely worth it! For those who love to experiment with standard rice dishes, the Spanish Paella would never disappoint.

Fish lovers can opt for their butter lemon grilled basa fish with generous servings of vegetables and mashed potatoes.
For the vegetarians, the best choice would be their grilled cottage cheese with Ratatouille served with rice which is an interesting mix of vegetables, olive oil, and garlic. It’s a cheese lover’s dream!
Brick House also takes bulk orders for events like birthday parties and we tried their mutton pulao on the chef’s recommendation. Needless to say, our guests couldn’t resist themselves from more helpings.

They offer some delightful desserts like the sizzling brownie with vanilla ice-cream, a signature favourite and Smoky Mountain, which is vanilla ice-cream drizzled with chocolate sauce and topped with roasted nuts.

But for us, the one that took the cake was the Nutella pancakes. Probably the best we’ve had in town.

The courteous staff, foot-tapping rhythmic music and feel-good vibes all make for an amazing experience in Brick House.
