Mohan Kumar\nH.O.D of Applied Department\nMahalasa College of Visual Art\, Mangalore \nMohan Kumar started his professional career in 1996\, in Mangaluru Mahalasa College of Visual Arts as a lecturer and H.O.D of Applied department\, at a very young age\, he was interested inArts and choose art as his profession. He studied Art Master and graduation diploma at Tumkur Ravindra Kalaniketan Kalashale. He got the first rank in the state for his graduation diploma. \nHe has worked on every art style like woodcut\, etching\, lithography\, serigraphy\, printmaking; creative painting\, and portrait study in Oil painting. \nHe has participated in more than 20 different Art exhibitions and 8 group shows\, his work collections are there all over India. He has won 2 National and 2 State level awards. \nHe was more fascinated by traditional painting subjects with design forms like Kinnala\, Thanjavur traditional painting\, Mysore traditional painting\, Ganjifa\, Kalamkari\, Mandala\, Kerala Mural\, and all types of Indian traditional art forms. \nHe made a brave attempt of practicing the art form for years which then turned out to be a great success. \nLast updated: Friday\, December 26\, 2025
