A human size cut-out of the thalaiva welcomes you at the outset. The hotel has A selfie kiosk with guests clicking pictures with cut outs of Rajni\, Shahrukh and Deepika Padukone from Chennai express. They also have a selfie contest running on their social media (Log into their Facebook page for more details) \nAs one enters the hotel\, staff dressed in lungi welcomes with a smile and says “Vanakkam” bringing in the Chennai vibe. “This is the first time anyone is organizing Chennai Food festival’ in Mangalore. We have brought down a Chennai based chef especially for this festival so that we can serve authentic food to our people” said Rahul Ballal\, Management head. \nThali Meals\nThe exhaustive special Thali has rasam\, sambhar\, kootu\, chutney and rice items changing every day. On ordering the special Thali\, the waiter brings you panakam and a series of dishes in the Thali\, sweet endings -you are served payasam\, ice cream\, and Tamil Nadu special boli. You can add oodles of ghee and podi to your rice as a generous amount of ghee is placed on your table. \n“An innovative dish we have introduced is the breadfruit (Jeegujje) Biryani in Ambur style. The response has been excellent.” Adds Rahul.
