Born in 1976, Sharvan Paswan is one of the family members of National Award-winning artists from Madhubani, Bihar. An expert in Madhubani Kohbar painting, he developed his craft under the guidance of Padmashri Sita Deviand his mother Urmila Devi.

He has received Kalidas Award in 2005, Vidyapati Award in 2014, and Lalitkala Akademi Award in 2016. He has conducted workshops and exhibitions throughout the country in major cities.

He is assisted by his family member Santosh Kumar Paswan and his daughter Ujala Kumari.
